Kendra currently teaches Drill Team
Prep, Dance I, and Dance II at Frisco High School. Kendra is the director of the
fabulous Frisco High School Stars Dance/Drill Team. She started directing drill
teams in 2002 one year after graduation from Texas Tech. She was the director
for the Vines High School Vikette and the Plano Senior High School Planoette
drill teams in Plano, Texas for five years. Kendra has also directed and
choreographed for the Centenary College Dance Team in Louisiana for the past
four summers. She is currently a
staff judge for American Dance/Drill Team and has instructed summer camps for
Crowd Pleasers Dance, Inc. She
judges for cheerleading, pom squad, drill team and dance team auditions
throughout the state as well as choreographing for cheerleading and dance/drill
teams at the high school level.
Upon graduation
from Texas Tech and prior to her teaching career, Kendra was a full-time dance
instructor for Sarasue’s Academy of Dance and lead the dance company at
Sarasue’s from 2001-2002.
Kendra received her Bachelor of Arts in
Dance from Texas Tech University in 2001 where she was a dancer/choreographer in
many of the theatre arts and dance productions at the university. She received the prestigious Anne
Bradshaw scholarship for her expertise in dance and was awarded All-American
from NCA Dance. Kendra has been
dancing since she was five years old and has competed in state and national
competitions throughout her career in many different styles of dance from jazz,
ballet, hip hop, tap, clogging, character, lyrical, and modern routines. She graduated from Plano East Senior
High in 1997 where she was an East Cheerleader in 11th and
12th grades as well as a cheerleader at Clark High School in
9th and 10th grades where she was nominated for
All-American every year. Kendra
also was a member of the award-winning Golden Girls Drill Team at East her
senior year and won several prestigious awards at camp and competition.
