FHS Stars Dance Team Director, Director of Dance - Danny Lozano
 Danny has been dancing for more than twenty years. While in college, he intensively studied classical ballet, lyrical, musical theatre, choreography and vocal music. Danny expanded his academic and pre-professional training under the direction of dance instructor, Neil Hess, musical theatre with Royal Brantley and vocal music and opera under Dr. Stephen Morscheck, all at West Texas A&M University. During his time at WT, he attended various national dance workshops and conferences where he was able to study with internationally acclaimed dancers and choreographers. Danny received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from WTAMU in 1993.
Mr. Lozano began his professional performance career over fifteen years ago. After graduating from university he performed as a singer/dancer/principal production singer and headliner for several cruise lines, including Carnival, Cunard, Royal Viking, Princess and Royal Olympic Cruises. He has had the honor and privilege to have traveled to over forty plus countries as a singer, dancer, entertainer. Locally, he has performed with Casa Manana and the Dallas metropolitan Ballet. Regionally he performed with Opryland U.S.A., Gaylord Productions and internationally with Vertigo Music Productions in Germany and various international production companies. Danny continues to perform professionally when time allows, but has shifted much time and focus from performing to the growth and education of his students. In 2003 he began teaching dance at Frisco High School making him a senior dance instructor in the district. He became the Associate Director in 2008, then became the Dance Team Director in 2010. He has been an active voice in guiding dance curriculum and the future vision of dance education in Frisco ISD.
Danny is a member of the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) and sits on the board for the Frisco Ballet. He is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators and actively seeks professional development opportunities. He has attended The Broadway Learning Lab in New York City where he studied musical theatre and dance with the casts of four Broadway shows and their respective choreographers. Mr. Lozano also performed locally at the Frisco Arts Gala to raise funds for the much desired Arts of Collin County. This coming year he looks forward to a unique possibility to sing in Australia at the Sydney Opera House.
Danny remains passionate in his pursuit of bringing about awareness, discipline of character in both mind and body. He also loves teaching the craft of performance as an option for his students, whether they desire to pursue dance professionally, or simply become more appreciative supporters of the arts.
